FPT VPC Peering (Version Beta)

Private, secure, high-speed connectivity between your VPCs – without traversing the public Internet.
FPT VPC Peering is a service that connects two Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) within the same region, allowing resources such as virtual machines, databases, and load balancers to communicate privately over internal IP ranges without going through the Internet.

All traffic is routed through FPT Cloud’s internal infrastructure, ensuring strong security, low latency, and high bandwidth between VPCs – ideal for enterprise internal data exchange. Users can create and centrally manage all peering connections and route tables directly on the FPT Cloud Portal in just a few clicks.
overview

Product advantage

Maximum security

Maximum security

Traffic between VPCs travels entirely over FPT Cloud’s internal infrastructure, never the public Internet – eliminating exposure to attacks or data interception in transit.
High performance, low latency

High performance, low latency

Direct connectivity between VPCs delivers high bandwidth and low latency, well suited for large-volume and real-time internal data transfer.
Centralized, effortless management

Centralized, effortless management

Create, edit, and delete peering connections and route tables in just a few clicks on the FPT Cloud Portal – a unified, intuitive interface with no complex infrastructure setup required.
Cost optimization

Cost optimization

No additional investment in dedicated lines, or specialized networking equipment; reduces Internet data-transfer costs between systems.
Enterprise-grade access control

Enterprise-grade access control

Integrated with IAM and fine-grained role-based access control (RBAC) per user, user group, and project, giving enterprises tight control over service usage.

Application scenarios

application scenarios
Enterprises separate Production, Development, and Testing into different VPCs for safety, yet still need to share common resources such as databases and monitoring systems. VPC Peering lets these environments communicate privately and quickly without exposing services to the Internet.
application scenarios
Build a central VPC hosting shared services such as authentication, logging, and databases, then peer it with application VPCs. This model standardizes architecture, reduces resource duplication, and simplifies operations.
application scenarios
Departments or projects running on separate VPCs can still exchange internal data with low latency and high security via VPC Peering – no VPN setup or Internet round-trip required.

Câu hỏi thường gặp

VPC Peering is a service that connects two or more Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) through a private internal network, allowing resources across VPCs to communicate directly as if they were on the same network. The connection never traverses the public Internet, ensuring high security, low latency, and stable performance.
VPC Peering establishes a private network connection between VPCs, allowing resources to communicate directly over the internal network. Once the peering connection is established and route tables are properly configured, traffic is automatically routed through the peering connection securely and reliably.
Currently, VPC Peering supports connections between two VPCs within the same region. Cross-region peering will be available in future releases.
The two VPCs must use non-overlapping CIDR ranges; both VPCs must be enabled; sufficient peering connection quota must be available; after creating the connection, update the route tables and verify Security Group/Firewall Rules to allow the appropriate traffic between the VPCs.
Check the route tables, Security Groups/Firewalls, and the peering connection status. Also make sure the VPC CIDR ranges do not overlap and that the VMs/instances allow ICMP or the required traffic.
Service permissions are enabled per VPC. If you access the service without permission, the system will notify you that the service has not been enabled – please contact FPT Cloud to request activation.
