Step 1: In the Menu bar, select Networking > Select Security Group
Step 2: Click on New Security Group, and the Create Security Group screen will appear.
Enter the necessary information:
Name Field: Enter a name for the group that is easy to manage. The system will automatically set a default name for the user.
Subnet Field: Users select a suitable range in the list for the Database type that they've choose when create the database.
Applied instances Field: Choose the server to apply.
Inbound Rules Field:
Type: Choose the type of Database, you can either select All ports to open every port, or Customize ports to open a specific port, or a range of ports. The system will also suggest ports for some popular services such as SSH, RDP, MySQL, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.
Protocol: Choose from the list.
Port: Enter the port number to open.
Action: Choose from the list.
Source: Enter the IP addresses on the Internet that is allowed to connect to this port in the Source field. Select All to allow all, MyIP to allow the current machine's IP, or enter the IP directly to add specific IPs.
Description: Enter a description.
Click Add rule to continue adding a new rule.
Step 3: Click Create Security Group, and wait for 1 to 2 minutes for the security group's status to be Active.
