When FPT Database Engine service is not yet enabled, users cannot create or manage databases. Enabling the service initializes the required backend components, making FPT Database Engine ready for use. This activation is required only once per VPC and can be performed by following the steps below.
Step 1: Access the Database Management page
Log in to the FPT Cloud Portal. After logging successfully, from the main menu, select Database Platform > All Databases. The Database Engine Management interface will display as follow:
Step 2: Activate FPT Database Engine Service
On the Database Engine Management page, click Activate Service to enable the service. The system will switch to a service activation processing screen. This process may take approximately 8–10 minutes to complete.
Once provisioned, the service status changes to Active, and database creation features become available.
